Rich tributes paid to Kashmiri leader Sheikh Abdul Aziz

In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and other Hurriyet leaders and organisations have paid rich tributes to APHC leader, Sheikh Abdul Aziz on his second martyrdom anniversary being observed, tomorrow (August 11).

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement issued in Srinagar said that lacs of Kashmiris had rendered their lives for the Kashmir cause their sacrifices would not be allowed to go waste. He reiterated the pledge to continue the liberation movement till its logical conclusion.

On the other hand, APHC leader and Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Peoples League, Sheikh Mohammad Yaqoob in a statement said that Sheikh Abdul Aziz was a committed and dedicated leader whose sacrifice had given a new dimension to the Kashmir liberation struggle.

Illegally detained APHC leader, Nayeem Ahmad Khan in his statement appealed the people not to give up the tradition of remembering their benefactors.

Meanwhile, the APHC leader, Yasmeen Raja in her statement issued in Srinagar, while paying homage to Sheikh Abdul Aziz, said that the blood of martyrs would not be allowed to go waste and Kashmiris would continue their mission till its complete success.

The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front-R, Farooq Ahmad Dar in his statement paying rich tributes to Sheikh Abdul Aziz, said that the sacred blood of Kashmiri martyrs would bring positive results and the day would come soon when the people of occupied Kashmir would get rid of Indian bondage.

It is to mention here that it was on August 11, 2008, when Indian army personnel shot dead Sheikh Abdul Aziz, while he was leading a mammoth march towards the Line of Control in the aftermath of the economic blockade against the Kashmir Valley by the Hindu fanatic groups of Jammu.
